PROJECT FOR VDM CONTROL SOLUTIONS

Reason for project:

1. One of the biggest sugar manufacturers in the country identified the manual operation of the truck sugar loading bins to be unsafe and not ergonomical.
2. Improvement and ease of truck & train loading via control panels and automated pneumatic cylinders.
3. Ease of access to do the truck loading.  

Project details:

1. On-site assessment and design of pneumatic cylinders, mechanical adaptions, and control panels.
2. Supply and modification, installation of 48 pneumatic cylinders at sugar truck loading bay.
3. Removal of manual hand levers and modifying to suit pneumatic cylinders.
4. Install pneumatic cylinders and control panels.
5. Connect and install air lines to all pneumatic cylinders.
6. Commission all cylinders and test with Operations.

Project Completion:

1. The project was completed and tested within the required timespan.
2. All pneumatic actuators are operating to date with no problems reported.”
